This year I am taking part in The March Charge with Cancer Council. In November of 2017 I lost my Dad to Brain Cancer. My Dad was an incredible father and fought an incredible battle. Being active was not just a passion of his, but an integral part of Dad's life and thinking of him being the dedicated coach he was, gives me such strength to take on this challenge, which fundraises for something so dear to my heart.
If there is one thing I can say to people today, it is; never take anyone in your life for granted. I never took having a Dad for granted. He was everything and more than I could have ever asked for and although it will always hurt that Dad is no longer with us, I know in my heart that he will continue to be with me every step of the way, pushing me and supporting me. I can only hope to have half the amount of will power he had, but having him with me whilst I run will help me strive to reach this goal.
Sadly, cancer still takes too many of us. Research sees more people than ever survive but we’ve still a way to go. It’s going to be a challenge, but it’s nothing compared to those who experience cancer. Your donation will help our local Cancer Council support those affected and fund world changing research to help more people survive.
Thank you for reading this and in advance for your support.
