I'm taking on Cancer Council's The March Charge...
...this is my 4th year doing this challenge and as you probably know I am battling neuroendocrine cancer which has now returned after surgery 4 1/2 years ago. The Cancer Council has been amazing in supporting me when I have to travel to Brisbane for scans and/or treatment. They pick do free airport transfers for us from the airport to the hospital and back and we have stayed overnight in their lodge for free when needed. This support is incredible when you are facing all these daunting tests and treatments not to mention helpful on the pocket!
As I’m undergoing treatment this time I have set myself a bit lower goal of 100kms this month and some of them I’ll be doing in the gym on the bike or rowing machine.
I’d love your support in the form of a donation if you can spare a few dollars in this climate. Id love to be able to give back to them a bit.
This year in Australia an estimated 162,000 people will hear the words "you have cancer", and believe me, this is scary to hear.
