The March Charge 2024

The Why

This year I’ve decided to participate in the march charge challenge in honour of my mum. My Mum was diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma brain cancer in 2021. She went through radiation and chemotherapy for a full year. Fighting as hard as she could and getting the clear back on all of her scans. She was the strongest, kindest and funniest person. I am forever grateful for having a mum that supported me no matter what, loved me always and fought all the way until the end. Unfortunately mum passed away in June of 2023. Cancer took away so much from her, her ability to walk and her independence. Mum deserved more time, and we needed more time with her. It's been a tough journey, but I want to make a difference and raise awareness about the devastating impact of cancer. That's why I'm running 50km throughout the month of March. Together, let's support cancer research and work towards finding a cure.

So far this year I’ve helped provide:

0 kids with a SunSmart education

or

0 calls to trained cancer professionals on 13 11 20

or

0 days of a PHD student’s world-class research
