I'm taking on Cancer Council's The March Charge...
Hey everyone! I am Sandhiya, Secretary of the Adelaide University Paediatrics Society. Our society is very excited to be a part of the March Charge, a month-long fitness challenge to raise funds for cancer research, prevention programs, and support services.
Having just finished my palliative care rotation, supporting young parents with cancer is something I am very passionate about. Be it childcare or counselling, even the smallest contribution would greatly help these young families. It is absolutely heart-breaking to see young mothers struggling to accept a cancer diagnosis and having to leave their children behind. Which is why cancer research is so imperative. Any research aiming to better people’s quality of life is very much necessary. I really hope that each and everyone who made it all the way to this page would support me and also take part in this movement and fundraiser.
Every dollar raised will help support Cancer Council’s life-saving cancer research, prevention programs and support services (like their free, confidential Information and Support line 13 11 20) for people affected by cancer.
