The March Charge Ultimate Run
What an amazing month March was. I am honestly blown away by all of the support by way of donations and messages that have been send my way and Mum's way. Thank you all so so much!
So where did we end up at the at the end of 31 March?
So now for this weekend's ultimate run in recognition of the amazing amount of donations that were received during March.
I am going to round things up and be running 150kms.
You will have to forgive me but I am going to start the run on Friday night at 10pm instead of at midnight on the 6th of April. The main reason for this is so I can finish around 5pm on Saturday at T-Bone Brewery in Huntingfield for the event.
I will be sharing my Garmin live tracker on here so people can follow along and see where I am at. You are more than welcome to come along and meet me at any stage of the run or at any of the aid station stops I am going to be making.
I will post a map of where I will be running with some rough time estimates and of course there will be some social media updates.

This week has been special with the fundraising reaching the $10,000 mark. This wouldn't have been possible without the incredible donations from all of you, so thank you so much. This truely will make a difference in the ongoing research and treatment of cancer patients.
The event is up for the 6th of April run. We are looking at 102kms at the moment during that day. I will be posting a planned course and timings for stops ect into that group so if you want to follow along or come to the event at the end to see Mum and celebrate your collective generosity this month, please join. Please also invite others who aren't already invited to the event.
This week saw some great morning runs and was highlighted with a run with Charles Padgett Henry Jones George Holgate Michael Flanagan Meg Scolyer on Wednesday night. Here is photo of a few of us afterwards.

HALF WAY!!
We are half way!The month of March is flying by and so are the donations and KM's. We are currently sitting at 115kms/300kms for March and at $8,942. Which is absolutely amazing and thank you to everyone who has supported me and mum through your messages and donations. We both really appreciate it.
So the current tally for the run on the 6th of April is 89kms.
The event will be made this weekend for the run on the 6th of April, it will be public so please share and invite people to come and join.
I will also be looking to have people join me for some parts of the run on that date, so if you are interested in that, please let me know by sending me a message!
This weeks long run is a 30km which I will be doing tomorrow morning, so stay tuned for some updates on how that goes.

YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING!I am absolutely blown away by the amount of support given and donations made. In less than a week we have smashed my goal of $500 and we are currently 10 times that at $5,324!!
I have run 43 of my 300kms as well, which means we are right on track. I will be doing a half marathon this Saturday, so stay tuned for some facebook and instagram stories whilst I am doing that.
In recognition of how grateful Mum and I are for all of your support and donations, I am going to be doing a run on the 6th of April, once all the donations are in for the month. That run will be 1km for everyone $100 donated.
Yep, that's right. As of right now, I am going to be running 53kms on that day. There will be more details to come on this with an event to follow.
All of you are digging deep in this fundraising effort and I will do the same on that day and every other day during this challenge for my Mum and all other people who are impacted by cancer.

Kicking things off!
Starting tomorrow I am going to be participating in the Cancer Council March Charge.
At the start of this month we found out that my Mum has lung cancer. To say we were shocked would be an understatement. She has been the pillar of our family, raising 13 kids, putting all of us before herself, we never saw this coming.
No amount is too small and your support is greatly appreciated.
I'm taking on Cancer Council's The March Charge...
...a month-long fitness challenge to raise funds for world-class cancer research, prevention programs, and support services.
This year in Australia an estimated 162,000 people will hear the words "you have cancer", I'm doing my part to change this by getting active and fundraising for people impacted by cancer.
Please sponsor me today to make every KM count! Every dollar raised will help support Cancer Council’s life-saving cancer research, prevention programs and support services (like their free, confidential Information and Support line 13 11 20) for people affected by cancer.
