I'm taking on Cancer Council's The March Charge...
In October last year I heard the words no one wants to hear - you have cancer. Breast cancer, found in my first mammogram. Fortunately it was picked up very early and I didn’t need chemotherapy. But I did have surgery, 20 rounds of radiotherapy and will be on medication for the next 10 years.
Now I’m feeling back to ‘normal’ I want to help raise money for those who aren’t as fortunate as I was.
I’m going to run (let’s be honest more like jog!) approx 3km every day of the month of March to reach my goal of 85km. I haven’t run or even jogged in about year so it really will be a challenge for me, and quite daunting tbh.
I’d be very grateful if you could sponsor me to make every KM count! Every dollar raised will help support Cancer Council’s life-saving cancer research, prevention programs and support services (like their free, confidential Information and Support line 13 11 20) for people affected by Cancer.
