Early start at Pearl Beach

Headed to Pearl Beach on the Central Coast early on Thursday due to the fact I had left my thongs on the sand the evening before. Other half said - no way they'll be there as the tide washes over the whole beach - and I knew he was probably right, but hey, there are worse things than heading back to the beach first thing in the morning, right? Anyway, it was a beautiful morning, with gilt edged clouds courtesy of the sunlight behind and while I walked I thought of my two beautiful friends who both died young because of cancer. It's a gift and a privilege to be alive and its good to be reminded of this each and every day.

This is my 6th year on The March Charge... Come along with me!

Doing this for all of us - to get healthier and reduce my risk, to support the great support and research of Cancer Council and to honour my friends affected by cancer.

This year marks 10 years of The March Charge, a decade of Aussies getting active and raising millions to support people impacted by cancer. I’m proud to be part of this movement and Charge for Change.

Sadly, an estimated 169,000 Australians will hear the words “you have cancer” this year. I’m doing my part to change this by getting active and fundraising for those affected.
