I'm Charging for my Sister, Heather

I'm taking on The March Charge...

Two months ago, I lost my sister to cancer. She was only 30 years old. Her passing was sudden, shocking, and has left a hole in our family that will never truly be filled. Like so many families, we never expected cancer to take someone so young — yet it does, far too often.


That’s why I’m committing to this month-long fitness challenge: to honour her life, her strength, and the time she should have had.


This year marks 10 years of The March Charge, a decade of Australians getting active and raising millions for world-class cancer research. I’m proud to be part of this movement and to Charge for Change, because change is exactly what we need.


An estimated 169,000 Australians will hear the words “you have cancer” this year. Behind every number is a person, a family, and a story — just like ours.


Every kilometre I complete and every dollar raised will help fund Cancer Council’s life-saving research, prevention programs, and support services, giving future families hope, time, and better outcomes.


If you’re able to donate, no matter the amount, you’ll be helping turn grief into action and pain into purpose.

Together, we can tell cancer where to go.
