Honouring all cancer warriors in our life

With so many fighting cancer in my little corner of the world, I am compelled to push on as strong as I can until the very end of the month. I am now aiming for 500km

Aim higher, dream bigger

I kind-of crossed a finish line this morning, but then I decided I want aim for a different finish line instead - 450 here I come... As I aim higher, I am dreaming bigger - that the steps I take WILL result in God working miracles, through scientists, research and faith to conquer cancer's death sentence.
Through Him, all things are possible.

Knee is getting stronger, so on I charge

To start my Charge this month, I wasn't sure if my old netball injury (aka me being old and trying to play netball with Yr 7s last year) would allow me to walk as I usually do... However, I have felt it getting stronger and am now confident that I can aim higher for my distance goal. It's almost like physical activity has been good for me :D My hope is that, through our charging and raising funds, families of the future won't have to dread hearing that devastating diagnosis, because cancer will have been defeated.

Telling cancer where to go...

After finding out today of another family friend fighting this beastly disease, I might just have to Charge harder, to raise more. My current total includes some time I spent on the exercise bike as I cheered on fellow Chargers, and there are a LOT of champion chargers, so that chewed up 20k real quick ;P What's a suggestion as to what you'd see me do as I charge for a donation? I could wear a tutu as I charge, or dress up somehow... :D I'm open to suggestions...

I'm taking on The March Charge...

...a month-long fitness challenge to raise funds for world-class cancer research.

This year marks 10 years of The March Charge, a decade of Aussies getting active and raising millions to support people impacted by cancer. I’m proud to be part of this movement and Charging for Change for the 7th time.

Sadly, an estimated 169,000 Australians will hear the the words “you have cancer” this year. I’m doing my part to change this by getting active and fundraising for those affected. Although originally charging for a cure for my precious Mum, then to honour her memory, I now charge to honour so many who have been impacted by cancer, both warriors and their families, and to make a real difference to the future landscape of cancer diagnoses, treatment and support.

Please sponsor me today and make every kilometre count! Every dollar raised will help fund Cancer Council’s life-saving research, prevention programs, and support services.
