I'm taking on The March Charge...

This March, I’m taking on the March Charge for the second year running in memory of my grandad, who sadly passed away from cancer. Cancer has had a huge impact on my family, and like so many Australians, we know firsthand how devastating this disease can be.

I’m doing this challenge not only to honour my grandad, but to raise awareness about cancer and the urgent need for continued research and support. In Australia, cancer is one of the leading causes of death, and it’s estimated that 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85. Almost every family is affected in some way, which is why awareness and early detection are so important.

By pushing myself physically throughout March, I hope to start conversations, spread awareness, and contribute to the fight against cancer. Funds raised go towards vital research, better treatments, and support for those currently battling cancer and their loved ones.

I’m proud to be taking part for the second year in a row, and every step I take is for my grandad, for my family, and for everyone affected by cancer. Any support — whether it’s donating, sharing, or simply learning more — truly makes a difference. Thank you for helping me turn awareness into action.
