MY FIRST YEAR TAKING ON THE MARCH CHARGE
this year marks 10 years of the march charge, a decade of australians getting active and raising millions to support people impacted by cancer.
sadly, an estimated 169,000 australians will hear the the words “you have cancer” in 2026. some of those being our family, friends and loved ones.
i'm taking part in this years march charge on behalf of many of my family members that have bravely battled their own cancer journeys. cancer didn't just touch one person in my life, it rippled through all of us. changing the way we speak, the way we worry, the way we hug each other a little tighter, and fear the quiet moments a little more. it taught us how fragile time is, how unfair life can be, and how strength often shows up disguised as exhaustion, tears and showing up anyway. we learned how to be brave in waiting rooms, hope without guarantees and how love can both feel heavier and more precious when loss is possible. this is for them.
please sponsor me today and make every kilometre count! every dollar raised will help fund cancer council’s life-saving research, prevention programs, and support services.
for those we love, for those we miss and for those still fighting 💛💙
