Fletcher Zając

In March I’ll be running 85km to raise funds for cancer research and support as part of Team Fletcher Zając.

This is deeply personal for the team. My mum has been fighting cancer for years with strength I can’t even put into words. Recently, my partner’s grandad sadly lost his battle with bowel cancer, which has been heartbreaking for our family and a reminder of how many people this disease affects.

Our team name, Fletcher Zając, carries both of them with us, Fletcher being my partner’s grandad’s surname and Zając being my mum’s maiden name.

I’m running for them, and for every family who has had to hear the words no one ever wants to hear.

85km is going to be tough, but it’s nothing compared to what cancer patients and their families go through every single day.
