I'm Charging for my Friend, Emily

Elena is taking on The March Charge...

...a month-long fitness challenge to raise funds for world-class cancer research.

My close friend Emily was recently diagnosed with cancer, and it has made me realise how cancer can impact anyone, even those closest to you. Emily is the kindest, most hard-working, generous, and loyal friend, and she has not let her diagnosis define her. Quite the opposite, she has consistently shown up for others, and will prioritise everyone in her life above herself, so I am doing this for her, to show her that she is loved, and to hopefully raise awareness and funds for cancer. With ever step I take during this challenge, Emily will be on my mind.

This year marks 10 years of The March Charge, a decade of Aussies getting active and raising millions to support people impacted by cancer. I’m proud to be part of this movement and Charge for Change.

Sadly, an estimated 169,000 Australians will hear the the words “you have cancer” this year. I’m doing my part to change this by getting active and fundraising for those affected.
