I'm taking on The March Charge for the Cancer Council

This March, I’m taking part in a month-long fitness challenge to raise funds for world-class cancer research — and this year means more to me than ever.

2026 marks 10 years of The March Charge, a decade of Aussies getting active and raising millions to support people impacted by cancer. Out of those 10 years, this is my 8th year taking part. I’m incredibly proud to be able to Charge once again.

Like so many of us, I have my own reasons. We all have personal stories of family members or loved ones being affected by cancer. I’ve sadly lost a few too many to this awful disease, but I’ve also been lucky enough to see strong fighters tell cancer exactly where to go.

This year feels a little bit heavier. After recently losting someone very close to me to cancer, while two more people I care deeply about are currently fighting it with everything they’ve got. That’s why this year’s Charge isn’t just about kilometres for me. It’s personal.

Sadly, an estimated 169,000 Australians will hear the words “you have cancer” this year. I’m getting active and fundraising to help to support life-saving research, prevention programs, and the incredible support services that people and families rely on.
