I’m taking part in this walk because cancer has become a personal chapter in my life, and during my treatment at John Hunter Hospital and the Mater Hospital, I’ve experienced incredible care and support. Walking has always been something I’ve loved, and joining the March Walk for Cancer gives me a meaningful way to stay active while giving back.
This walk is my way of honouring the people and services who have helped me, raising awareness for others facing their own cancer journeys, and turning my energy toward something positive. I’m deeply grateful for the support I’ve received, and I hope that by walking, I can help make a difference for others.
