I'm Charging for my Myself — and so many people around the world — continue to fight this battle, even when it feels like a losing one. We keep putting one foot in front of the other.

I'm taking on The March Charge...

I know the word cancer can go straight over some people’s heads. It doesn’t always feel real until it happens to you or someone you love. I understand that completely — sometimes I try to let it go over mine too and just let it stay there for good. But that’s not how it works.

I used to think that once you beat it, you’d won. You survived. End of story. But sometimes it’s more like you’re just waiting for the next round. It can feel like a battle where only one side wins, and it’s a fine line deciding who that will be.

Still, with support and research, we can at least put a dent in it.

Medical bills, resources, travel — none of it is cheap. And that’s without even mentioning the emotional cost. Life isn’t always fair, not to anyone. But the more we learn, the more we research, the better chance we have at finding stronger treatments, lowering costs, and building the support systems people truly need. The same goes for so many other life-changing diseases.

So go for a walk. It’s one step in front of the other — something we do every day. And sometimes, that’s exactly how we fight back, one step at a time. “I’m walking for this girl who hopefully one day might finally win her battle”
