💛 I’m Taking on The March Charge - From Miles Away, But Close to My Heart

Cancer has no borders. It doesn’t matter where you live - its impact is felt in the same deep and life-changing way.

This March, I’m joining The March Charge, a month-long fitness challenge that raises funds for world-class cancer research. Even though I’m not in Australia, I am standing in solidarity with thousands of people taking part in this movement - because this cause is very personal to me.

I am doing this in loving memory of my Mom, whom we lost to colon cancer in 2005.

Life was never the same without her.

The years may have passed, but the space she left in our hearts never did. Grief doesn’t measure time. It stays quietly with you - in milestones, in ordinary days, in moments when you wish you could still hear her voice or feel her embrace.

That is why this challenge means so much to me.

I am walking not just for fitness.
I am walking for my Mom.
For the families who are missing someone today.
For the people who are bravely fighting their battles right now.
For the hope that one day, fewer people will have to hear the words, “You have cancer.”

This year marks 10 years of The March Charge - a decade of people getting active and raising millions to support cancer research, prevention programs, and vital support services. Being part of this, even from another country, makes me feel connected to a powerful global community working toward one goal: a future without cancer.

Every step I take is a tribute to her strength.
Every kilometer is a reminder that awareness matters.
Every dollar raised brings hope to someone’s tomorrow.

So I’m choosing to move, to remember, and to make a difference.
