I'm Charging for my Dad, laurie samways

I'm taking on The March Charge..

This March, I’m taking on the march charge to raise much-needed funds in memory of my dad, to help tackle the challenges people face when going through cancer and to support the search for better treatment pathways that can one day lead to a cure.

My dad, ever so brave, became a strong advocate for getting tested after his long fight with prostate cancer.

More awareness means more people getting checked. More checks mean earlier detection and treatment. And earlier treatment means more time — more people staying on this earth longer with their loved ones, just as I wish my dad could have had ??

Sadly, an estimated 169,000 Australians will hear the the words “you have cancer” this year. I’m doing my part to change this by getting active and fundraising for those affected.
