I'm taking on The March Charge... for my Dad!
This March, I’m taking part in The March Charge to raise vital funds for Cancer Council — and this one is deeply personal.
I’m doing this for my dad, and for everyone whose life has been touched by cancer. Seeing firsthand what individuals and families go through is something that stays with you, and it’s why I want to do my part to help find a cure.
Cancer doesn’t just affect individuals — it impacts entire communities. That’s why my café, Elvy’s Cafe, will also be getting involved. Throughout March, we’ll be donating 50 cents from every coffee sold directly to Cancer Council, helping turn everyday coffees into real support for cancer research. Our local community and many of our much-loved regulars have been affected by this disease, so this is something very close to our hearts.
This year marks 10 years of The March Charge, a month-long fitness challenge raising funds for world-class cancer research. Sadly, an estimated 169,000 Australians will hear the words “you have cancer” this year. By getting active and fundraising, I’m hoping to help change that future.
Every kilometre I move and every dollar raised helps fund life-saving research, prevention programs, and support services for those who need it most.
If you’re able to sponsor me or support us in-store, know that it truly makes a difference. Together, we can support those affected, back vital research, and tell cancer where to go. 💛
