I'm Charging for my Myself, Kris
I'm taking on The March Charge...
The March Charge is a fun fitness challenge that has an enormous impact on how cancer is researched and treated.
Just by walking or running for Cancer Council this March, and raising funds, you’ll be helping us Charge ahead with cancer research.
Being a Cancer Survivor myself, I know firsthand of what a crap disease Cancer is. It not only affects you. It effects family and friends too.
“I was diagnosed with Stage 3 bowel cancer in 2022. I underwent surgery, had the tumour removed, and lost 20 cm of my bowel in the process. That was followed by ten months of chemotherapy — an experience I wouldn’t wish on anyone. I’m now approaching three years in remission and am grateful to be cancer‑free.”
“The thing about cancer is that once you’ve had it, it stays with you — mentally and physically. I still live with neuropathy in my hands and feet, a form of nerve damage caused by chemotherapy. Chemo doesn’t just target the bad cells; it takes the good ones with it.”
“The March Charge means a great deal to me personally. No one should ever have to face cancer, and doing whatever we can to raise money and support the cause feels essential.”
“Please join us either on registering for the CHARGE or donate. Even if it’s a small amount every dollar counts.”
