I'm Charging for my Mum
Five Years For Mum – Every Step For Hope
It’s been five years since cancer took my mum.Five years since I lost the woman who gave life to everything she touched.
She loved plants, nature, flowers, animals, and most of all — people.
She had a way of nurturing the world around her.
Anything she touched grew.
Anyone she met felt seen.
She left us at just 60 years old.
So young.
So much life still in her.
So much love still to give.
Cancer didn’t just take her from me.
It took a mother, a friend, a woman deeply loved and respected by so many.
In Australia, around 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
Every year, more than 160,000 Australians hear the words that change everything.
Behind every number is a family. A story. A future interrupted.
Research is why survival rates have improved.
Research is hope.
Research is the reason another daughter might get more time with her mum.
I can’t change what happened to mine.
But I can walk.
I can raise awareness.
I can fight in the only way I know how.
This March, every step I take is for her.
For the gardens she loved.
For the people she cared for.
For the families still sitting in hospital rooms, praying for more time.
Five years without her.
Still walking. Still fighting. Still loving her loudly.
If you can support my March Charge, you’re not just donating — you’re helping fund the breakthroughs that save lives.
In her name. Always. 🤍
