I'm taking on The March Charge...

I’m taking on the march charge to support not only one of my bestest friend’s mum go to war to fight the “little f*ckers” every day but also to support everyone in Australia who has been affected by cancer.

Over the march I will be attempting to walk 85km, a challenge made even more difficult by the fact that I broke my leg in January and will be using the rest of this month to learn how to walk again in preparation for this challenge. Although this challenge is nothing compared to what thousands of Australians have to go through every day. (and yes I have approval from my medical team to attempt this challenge.)

As a nurse and as a family member I have seen the way the words “you have cancer” can change a family in a matter of seconds, words in which nearly 170,000 Australians will hear each year. I have seen families and communities join forces to make a change which is something that I want to be able to help with.
