I'm Charging for my Dad
Help me make a difference for brain cancer research!
Hey everyone, I have decided to join the Cancer Council’s March Charge this year. I have set myself the goal of running and walking 85km during the month of March. I haven’t really done much running in the past, so this will be a challenge for me, but dealing with cancer is an even bigger challenge (for both the patient and their loved ones). Approximately 1 in 2 people will develop some form of cancer in their lives, and it is likely you already know someone who has developed cancer or has been affected by cancer in some way.
As part of this challenge, I am asking for your help to raise $1000 during March. Any support towards this goal would be greatly appreciated! The funds raised are going towards brain cancer specifically, which has one of the lowest survival rates. This low survival rate also results in less funding and research focus in this area. However, research in this area is crucial to address the various challenges posed by brain cancers, such as getting treatment past the blood-brain barrier; a challenge unique to brain cancers.
Thank you for visiting my page, and any support is truly greatly appreciated!
