I'm Charging for my Mum, Patricia Bell
I'm taking on The March Charge for my Mum who is fighting her 3rd fight with Cancer in this lifetime
This March, I’m taking on the 85km challenge for Cancer Council — a month-long fitness challenge to raise funds for world-class cancer research.
This year marks 10 years of The March Charge, a decade of Aussies getting active and raising millions to support people impacted by cancer. I’m proud to be part of this movement and to Charge for Change, but this year my reason is deeply personal.
My mum is currently fighting cancer for the third time. Sadly, this time hasn’t brought the outcome we hoped for, and she has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Like so many families, cancer has touched our lives in ways we never expected, and this challenge is my way of honouring her strength while supporting others facing the same fight.
Sadly, an estimated 169,000 Australians will hear the words “you have cancer” this year. I’m doing my part to help change that by getting active and fundraising for those affected — for patients, families, carers, and future generations.
Please consider sponsoring me and helping make every kilometre count. Every dollar raised supports Cancer Council’s life-saving research, prevention programs, and vital support services.
Together, we can tell cancer where to go. Thank you for your support — it truly means more than you know. ?
