For Mum.

Another year passing and the distance between now and then feels infinitesimal to my memories, yet it is a vast chasm in the space I feel you left in the world and in my heart. Where I want to speak your name over and over again, so you will live forever in the collective memory of everyone I tell your name and everyone they tell. So the world will know you and not just the indelible imprint you left in our lives. So your love and loss is felt reverberating and rippling all around us. That the world wasn’t the same before you were born and wasnt the same when you left. Forever changing us. 


This walk is for you and when I get tired or feel like i can’t be bothered I think about your resilience your determination and sheer stubbornness, your ferocious fearlessness; until you heard the words “you have cancer”, and still that fear wasn’t for yourself. It was the fear for us, leaving us.


I walk for you. I walk for me. And all the dollars and cents I can raise in the hope, one day, that no one will hear those words.

I'm taking on The March Charge...

...a month-long fitness challenge to raise funds for world-class cancer research.

This year marks 10 years of The March Charge, a decade of Aussies getting active and raising millions to support people impacted by cancer. I’m proud to be part of this movement and Charge for Change.

Sadly, an estimated 169,000 Australians will hear the the words “you have cancer” this year. I’m doing my part to change this by getting active and fundraising for those affected.

Please sponsor me today and make every kilometre count! Every dollar raised will help fund Cancer Council’s life-saving research, prevention programs, and support services.
