The Why

Hello! I've set myself the challenge of running 100km in the month of March to raise money for the wonderful efforts of the Cancer Council.
Last year I ran 50km in May for the MS Foundation. This year I have raised the bar for myself by doubling my km target. I’ve also created a bingo board, where each donation unlocks a different challenge for me. With your help, I’m hoping to clear the whole board by the end of March.
My thinking with this was actually pretty intentional. Discomfort with a purpose feels different. Every square is a small challenge for me, but it’s nothing compared to what people going through cancer treatment face every day. If I can lean into a bit of temporary discomfort, it feels like a meaningful way to show up. Cancer also takes away a lot of choice. This bingo board flips that a little, so that you get to choose what I take on. It’s a small way of handing over control in a space where so many people don’t get that luxury.
I also want it to be a reminder that joy and suffering can coexist, just like hope can sit alongside hardship.
Let's do it! Any donations towards my cause would be extremely appreciated.
