March is done and the numbers speak for themselves.

I completed The March Charge for the first time this year. It turned out to be more meaningful than I expected. I was charging for my dad, who was recently rehospitalised with cancer. On the mornings I didn't want to get up, on the days the kilometres felt hard, I thought about him. That was enough.

Here is how March finished:

The part I have been sitting on for a while — since December, I have lost 25kg. The March Charge landed right in the middle of that journey. 219km of walking, running, and moving with purpose does not happen by accident. It happens because of consistent daily habits, a structured nutrition plan, and a reason to keep going when motivation dips.

I am not done. The diet is still running. The training is still going. March was proof that showing up every single day, even imperfectly, compounds into something real.

As a finance broker and business owner, I spend a lot of time helping clients build toward long term goals. Turns out the same principles apply to your health. Small consistent actions. A clear target. No shortcuts.

Across Australia this year, 13,582 participants charged 639,351km and raised $2,199,163 for cancer research and support services. That is what a community looks like when it decides to show up.

If you are thinking about the March Charge in 2027, do it.

The giving does not stop there. On 14 May 2026 I will be sleeping at the MCG as part of Sleep at the G, raising funds for MCM and youth homelessness in Victoria. Every night more than 122,000 Australians experience homelessness and a quarter of them are aged between 12 and 24. I walk past people sleeping rough in the CBD every day. This is my way of doing something about it rather than just walking past.

Tyrone Cammaroto Raises $1,006 for Cancer Council - The March Charge 2026

The March Charge 2026 is complete, and I am incredibly grateful to everyone who supported me throughout the month.

An estimated 169,000 Australians will hear the words 'you have cancer' this year. That is the number that matters. Everything else - the kilometres, the targets, the badges - those are just the vehicle. Cancer Council Australia is the point.

I finished March having raised $1,006 and walked 219km, which earned me Diamond Charger status. I set out to raise $1,000 and walk 200km. Both goals cleared. But more importantly, based on Cancer Council's own impact figures, that $1,006 helped fund:

602 kids receiving a SunSmart education. 27 calls answered by trained cancer professionals on the 13 11 20 support line. 8 days of a PhD student's world-class cancer research.

That is real. That is where your donations went. And I could not be more grateful that you chose to put them there.

I charged for my Dad. That gave every kilometre of this month a purpose that went well beyond fitness. I have also been on a health kick since November and have lost over 20kg in that time, so the timing of the March Charge felt right - a chance to put the work I was already doing toward something that genuinely mattered.

To everyone who donated, shared the link, or simply reached out with a kind word - thank you. Sincerely. This cause is personal to me, and knowing that people got behind it meant more than I expected.

On the business side, T&T Financial Group finished the month at $1,411 raised combined, with my business partner Thomas Strmecki also completing the challenge. Proud of what we achieved together.

Tyrone Cammaroto raises $1,006 for Cancer Council - T&T Financial Group March Charge 2026

With 12 days to go I'm proud to share that I've raised $1,006 personally for Cancer Council Australia as part of The March Charge 2026, smashing my individual donation target.

As a business, T&T Financial Group has also hit its team fundraising goal of $1,304. Incredibly proud of what we've achieved together this month.

On the fitness side I'm at 125km of my 200km goal and I'm not slowing down. Every kilometre from here is a bonus.

I'm doing this one for my Dad. That's all the motivation I need to keep going.

I'm Tyrone Cammaroto, Finance Broker at T&T Financial Group, and this March I'm taking on The March Charge - a month-long fitness challenge raising funds for Cancer Council Australia.

This year marks 10 years of The March Charge. A decade of Australians getting active and raising millions for people impacted by cancer. I'm proud to be part of it.
