The March Charge 2026

I'm Charging for my Mum, Larelle

I'm taking on The March Charge...

...a month-long fitness challenge to raise funds for world-class cancer research.

My name’s Angela Cox, and this year I’m joining Cancer Council’s The March Charge to keep moving for something that matters.

I’ve been connected to Cancer Council for some time, and this cause is deeply personal to me. Cancer has affected my family in many ways. My mum, Larelle, was affected by cancer, and so were many other people I love. It’s touched almost every part of my family, which I know is true for so many Australians.

Supporting Cancer Council feels like a way to honour Mum, and to support others going through similar experiences.

A little about me. I work as a journalist and presenter with the Seven Network, and my days are always changing. Some days I’m out on location, others in the studio or preparing scripts. I’ve made a deliberate choice not to own a car, so walking is a big part of my everyday life, whether that’s getting to the train, heading to the beach, or sometimes even walking all the way to work.

Staying active is something I genuinely enjoy, but I keep it realistic. I walk most days, surf a few times a week, and on quieter days I’ll still head down to the ocean for a swim and walk back up the hill. Some days I do a lot, some days not so much, and that’s okay. I really believe that every bit of movement counts.

This year is also a special one. It’s the 10th year of The March Charge, and I love knowing I’m part of something that brings people together to move, reflect, and support a cause that matters deeply to so many of us.
